About Mustard and Sparrow

Our Roots

Mustard and Sparrow (MuSpa) was born from a simple but urgent conviction: that the Church needs to talk more honestly about mental health—and that God's love is big enough to hold every truth we carry.

Our Vision
& Mission

Our vision is a world where faith communities are safe spaces for honest conversations about mental health, trauma, and healing. Our mission is to bridge the gap between faith and mental wellness by providing a platform for authentic storytelling, community connection, and access to resources.

Our Problem
Statement

Millions of Christians suffer silently because the Church has not always created space for honest conversations about mental health. Shame, stigma, and theological misunderstanding have kept too many people from getting the help they need. We believe this must change.

Our Charge

We are called to love one another without judgment, to bear one another's burdens, and to create communities where no one has to suffer in silence. That is our charge.

Our Founding
Scriptures

"He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.""
Matthew 17:20

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father."
Matthew 10:29

"Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:2
